3 Ways You Can Avoid Burnout As A Producer In 2023!

Being a producer in 2023 means you have to know how to market, send emails, make content, and do a bunch of crazy things all on top of making music.

Here are 3 habits that can help you stay consistent and avoid burnout in 2023!

#1 SCHEDULE YOUR DAYS

having a set schedule every single day/week can improve your workflow dramatically, more then you might think. When you plan out your days/weeks this forces you to look at what you are spending the most time on and maybe it opens your eyes to what you shouldn't be spending time on...

The first step is to write down everything you want to accomplish for the week, every last thing. You can then take each task and assign it to each day (BY HOUR). Put the most important tasks at the time where you are most productive and the less important tasks later when you aren't as productive. Putting the things that aren't as important later when you have less energy is important because if you can't complete those tasks it isn't as big of a deal.

I challenge you to try this for 30 days and I can promise you, you will see a big shift in the amount of work you can get done!

#2 ONE TASK PER DAY

Burnout happens when you do the same thing over and over for a long period of time. A good example of this could be you make a beat and a pice of content every single day for 4 months. After a while that model can just simply get boring...

With doing one major task per day this can completely change your mindset. Le't say for example you take Monday to make all 7 beats for the week, and then you take Tuesday to make a majority of the content for the week. This not only changes your daily routine but it actually can improve your workflow significantly because there are less distractions. You don't have to worry about a million things instead your focus is just on completing those 7 beats for the day.

#3 USE SPARE TIME TO GET AHEAD WITH YOUR WORK

If you are planning on starting something for example content, or even a second type beat channel. It can be super beneficial if you make an abundance of beats or content before you even drop any online.

With this model you can have months of content in the vault so if you want to take a vacation, you get sick, or you just want to avoid the stress of having to keep up with demand, you can do so.

When you get ahead with your work this can also allow you to start working on those extra projects you have been wanting to work on. With this model it is short term pain for long term success and stability.
